Privacy statement

Short version: 4 My Travels stores your expenses and receipts on your own device, encrypted. We do not require an account, we run no advertising or analytics, we do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not sell personal data.

1. Who we are

4 My Travels is developed and operated by Matth Sec, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. For privacy questions, contact us at info@4mytravels.app.

2. The 4 My Travels app

Expenses and receipts — everything you enter is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. On Android the encryption uses the platform keystore; on the web it is protected by a passphrase that never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server operated by us.
Currency conversions — to display converted amounts, the app requests exchange rates from frankfurter.dev. According to Frankfurter, its public API does not collect or log personal data, IP addresses or request URLs. Its public instance runs behind Cloudflare, which provides caching, DDoS protection and aggregate traffic statistics. Exchange rates are cached on your device.
No account required — the app works fully offline and locally. There are no ads and no analytics SDKs inside the app.

3. This website

The website is hosted on a virtual private server operated by netcup GmbH, Germany. Our server processes technical request data — such as IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser information — in server logs that are necessary to deliver the website, diagnose errors and protect against abuse.
netcup provides the underlying network infrastructure and DDoS protection. In doing so, it may process network connection metadata, including IP addresses, timestamps and traffic patterns.
We use no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics and no advertising scripts on this website.

4. What we do not do

No advertising or analytics, and no behavioural profiling of users.
No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
No accounts and no email marketing.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR (AVG), you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Because app data is stored only on your device, you can delete it yourself at any time by removing the app or its data. For requests relating to this website, contact us at the address above. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
